Jennifer Riewe
Abstract Expressionist Painter
Jennifer Riewe is a bold voice in contemporary abstract expressionism, creating emotionally driven works that emerge entirely from intuition. With no preconceived plan or structure, she approaches the canvas with raw energy—eschewing traditional brushes in favor of her hands—to build immersive layers of oil paint that range from powerful and vibrant to soft and subtle. Her process is a deeply physical and instinctive dialogue between mind, body, and medium, resulting in work that is as honest as it is visceral.
Of German and Swedish descent, Jennifer was born and raised in the American heartland. After years living and working in Los Angeles and Orange County, she relocated to a mountain ranch near Yosemite National Park. Her studio, nestled in one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the world, has become a sanctuary for peace, meditation, and introspection—elements that now profoundly influence and elevate her recent work.
Jennifer primarily works with oil on large-scale canvases. Inquiries from galleries and curators are welcome as she continues to produce new pieces for exhibition.
